Akenkaai: Brussels Charleroi Canal, Brussels
LIVE ON:
Radio Panik - 105.4 FM
Infrastructures define society, they define where you go and where you don't go. Infrastructures and Imaginaries of a New Agri-Cultural Commons calls for a transformation of food systems, and the interdependencies that shape them.
Gathered inside the belly of a new canal boat named Porté par ta Voix (Gedragen door je stem/Carried by Your Voice) we bring together Brussels' inhabitants, activists, academics and policy makers to discuss alternative modes of moving food and compost that reimagine pre-existing infrastructures. Using the Brussels-Charleroi canal, Porté par ta Voix sets in motion a structural shift in mobility which aligns with the Brussels Good Food aims to intensify and support agroecological production in Brussels and its surrounding areas.
Invited guests will share current policies, address challenges of this transformation and imagine together scenarios of reconnection that respect humans and other species, regenerate biodiversity and create quality jobs.
